Film Screening: Fish Out of Water

Looking for an accessible resource to start the conversation on the Bible and homosexuality in your church? Had the conversation lots of times but new members need equipped and engaged in the movement? Old time reconcilers want better equipped to discuss scripture intelligently? Fish Out of Water  (Pez Fuera de Aqua, Spanish language version available) is an engaging documentary produced by Ky Dickens while a student at Vanderbilt Divinity School. Employing original music and animation, the film takes the viewer through the seven clobber verses so often employed to condemn and exclude same gender loving individuals/couples and helps the viewer understand the misuse of scripture in condoning hate and exclusion. Can be used with youth and adults. The film will start promptly as scheduled.
